The Hassocks is a vibrant, much-loved community pub in the heart of Sussex – but its outdated website no longer reflected the energy, scale, or personality of the venue. The owners approached us to create a modern, easy-to-use website that would showcase their packed calendar of events, evolving street food offering, and community involvement, while also promoting their popular event space.
We designed and built a bespoke WordPress website, giving The Hassocks a digital presence that matches the spirit of the venue. Alongside the design and build, we also delivered on-site photography to visually capture the atmosphere and community feel. A key feature of the site is a dynamic “What’s On” section — promoting weekly street food pop-ups, live sport, club nights, Funny That comedy, and regular Mid Sussex Music Hall events, with direct links for bookings. We redesigned and linked menus for quick updates, and created a dedicated page for their large function room, complete with details on capacity and facilities. A new contact form was integrated for quick, hassle-free enquiries.
The result is a refreshed and responsive website that reflects the scale and warmth of The Hassocks. It’s easy to navigate, full of personality, and built to promote their diverse events, drive bookings, and support their vital role in the local community. We continue to manage and maintain the site, keeping everything current and supporting their digital marketing with regular newsletters.
