Oxford Economics, launched a research project to understand the Spanish longevity economy and its role in driving economic activity. By 2050 the number of over 50’s in Spain, is expected to account for half of the country’s population. Understanding the scale of impact is essential to leveraging its strengths for economic development. This research explores the activities and spending of the resident population and of British tourists visiting the country.
To effectively present these findings, we designed and developed a bespoke microsite showcasing how British consumer spending influences Spanish markets. The multilingual site (English & Spanish) offers intuitive navigation and an interactive user experience, enabling seamless exploration of data. For optimal performance and accessibility, we utilised ChartJS for dynamic data visualisation, and developed a responsive, mobile-first design with Bootstrap. We built the site using pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring maximum flexibility for any hosting environment.
Delivered on time and within budget, meeting all project requirements.
User-friendly interface, allowing for seamless exploration of key insights.
Clear data representation, providing a unique perspective on Spain’s economic landscape.
