Essential Cuisine launched Street Food Chef, a bold new range of six globally inspired seasoning blends, designed for the foodservice industry. To support this major product launch, Trigger was commissioned to create a complete brand identity, packaging design, marketing materials, a product launch video, and an exhibition experience. The goal was to establish Street Food Chef as an exciting, high-impact brand, reflecting the dynamic world of street food culture while delivering a cohesive and engaging launch campaign.
To set the foundations for the brand, Trigger first developed the Street Food Chef name and logo. Inspired by the fast-paced, vibrant nature of street food, the logo featured a gritty, urban design incorporating a street food van, knife, fork, and wings – symbolising the freedom and creativity of global flavours. This bold and distinct visual identity became the core of all branding and marketing assets.
Once the brand identity was in place, we moved on to packaging design. Taking inspiration from chalkboard-style street food menus, the labels featured hand-drawn typography and bright accent colours to distinguish the different flavours, such as the fiery red of Dark Mexican and the vibrant orange of Zesty Chermoula. The packaging needed to stand out in professional kitchens, so we ensured it was clear, bold, and practical, with two pack sizes available (350g and 90g), plus sample labels for 30g trial tubs.
To bring the brand to life visually, we produced a high-energy product launch video. Using fast-paced footage, percussive kitchen sound effects, and motion graphics, the film highlighted each seasoning blend in an authentic, multicultural setting, reinforcing the global inspiration behind the range. Elements from the chalkboard-style packaging were animated into the film, tying together the brand’s identity across multiple touchpoints.
For the official product launch exhibition at HRC (Hotel, Restaurant & Catering) in London, we designed a fully branded Street Food Chef food trailer. This mobile kitchen allowed Essential Cuisine’s chefs to cook and serve live recipe demonstrations using the seasonings, bringing the world to your working kitchen. The chalkboard-style branding was carried through into the trailer design, ensuring complete brand synergy. Supporting marketing materials, including POS displays, recipe cards, brochures, and giveaway gift bags, were created to enhance customer engagement at the event. A dedicated Street Food Chef website was also launched to handle enquiries and sample requests.
The Street Food Chef launch was a huge success, establishing a bold new brand within the foodservice industry. The cohesive identity, striking packaging, and dynamic marketing campaign created excitement around the range and positioned it as a must-have for professional chefs. The combined efforts of branding, packaging, video production, and exhibition marketing ensured the Street Food Chef range stood out in a competitive market, reinforcing Essential Cuisine’s reputation for innovation and quality.
